Cover to Cover is a small, privately owned press located in Peterborough, Ontario.

At Cover to Cover, we are always on the lookout for excellent manuscripts. Our focus is on publishing quality non-fiction, especially books that tell Canadian stories in pictures and text. Specifically, we are interested in publishing well-illustrated books of local, regional, and national interest in the following fields:

Social and popular history
Biography and memoirs of regional or national import
Art, architecture, and cultural heritage, especially heritage buildings
Boating, recreation, sport, or wilderness conservation and use, especially as these relate to Canadian history and culture

We do not publish mass-market fiction (e.g., fantasy, romance, science fiction, or other genres), how-to guides, cookbooks, or non-fiction geared primarily for the academic market.

If you think you have an idea or a manuscript for us, please send a query letter to the attention of senior editor Karen Taylor. Or submit a sample or full manuscript for her consideration to the mailing address below. (We do not consider email submissions.)

All work should be typed and submitted on unbound paper; please use only one side of each page. Include a cover letter, a brief biography, a list of previous publications, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Submissions without a self-addressed stamped envelope will not receive a reply. If you would like to have your manuscript returned, you must include sufficient postage.

We typically reply in four months.
